2nd Chance Books is owned and operated by
Second Chance Books, Inc., and has been voted "Best Bookstore in the Triangle on
Triangle Citysearch.com every voting period since 2003!
Our vision statement calls for us to "acquire and make available to the
community the highest quality of used books utilizing a pricing and buy-back structure that will extend to the reading community the
lowest available prices."
Second Chance Books was founded in 2002 by Mindy and Mike Miller.
Mindy, a self-proclaimed "rabid bibliophile", chose to end her
18-year career in accounting management and pursue a long-standing dream of bringing
a high-quality used bookstore to the community.
Mike, who is transitioning careers from Corporate Training to a new life as a Licensed Professional Counselor, spends most of his "spare" time at home
(behind the scenes) supporting technology, on-line sales fulfillment, and marketing aspects
of the business.
Our retail store in Cary, NC celebrated their SIXTH year anniversary in May 2009.
